Dental Bonding & cosmetic procedures
Bonding is a process that involves a tooth-colored substance being applied and then treated by an illuminated light that acts as a means of "bonding" the material to the tooth to improve the appearance of the smile.
Veneers
Veneers are small customized shells that cover the front of the teeth. They are attached to the teeth' surface; they change their appearance, color, and length. Veneers are made from composite or ceramic. Veneers offer a less invasive procedure for changing the shade of a tooth or body compared with crowns. But, they cannot be reversed.
Enamel Shaping
Contoured or formed enamel is a quick and straightforward method of shaping natural teeth to improve their appearance. It's usually used to fix minor flaws, for example, unbalanced teeth and teeth that appear a little too crowded. The results are apparent fast—the procedure of shaping enamel is often used in conjunction with using veneers, whitening, or bonding.
Orthodontics (Braces)
Braces can straighten out crooked or aligned teeth. They also improve any smile's appearance and overall health, whether a child or an adult. Braces work by applying constant pressure, which slowly aligns teeth. The bone socket gets shaped by the teeth rotating by the applied force.
Types of Braces
Although braces made from metal remain in use, braces can be as discreet as you'd like. Brackets -- or the pieces that attach to the teeth are tooth-colored or precise, or multi-colored. They can also be fixed to the outside of the tooth to ensure they aren't visible. It is possible to have "invisible" braces that use various precise plastic molds, which gradually move the teeth towards a more symmetrical alignment.
Teeth Whitening
Who doesn't like a bright smile? A wide range of products to whiten teeth is readily available in toothpaste, gels and rinses and strips, trays, and whitening products that can be purchased from the dentist. However, whitening isn't a good choice for everyone.
Gum Reshaping
Gum reshaping can improve the appearance of a "gummy" smile in which teeth appear smaller or when you notice that your gum line appears uneven. A small amount of gum and the excess bone, when needed, was removed and shaped to show more teeth. The procedure can be performed on one tooth to make a sloping gum line or on several teeth for an unnaturally wide smile.
Implants
Many Americans suffer from tooth loss, most commonly due to gum disease, tooth decay, or trauma. Dental implants replace tooth roots made out of titanium (shown on the left). They offer a solid base for attaching permanent or removable implant teeth (crowns). As opposed to individual points, certain patients may connect attachments on their implants that could help support a removable dental denture.
Dentures
Dentures are removable replacements for missing teeth and the tissues that surround them. There are two types of dentures: full and partial. Dentures that are complete are used when all teeth are missing, while partial dentures can be utilized when only a fraction of the natural teeth remain.
